1. The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has received a Loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency (hereinafter referred to as "JICA") toward the cost of the Construction of Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit Project (hereinafter referred to as "the Project") and signed Loan Agreement on 31st March 2009. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this Loan will be applied to eligible payments for which this Invitation for Prequalification is issued.

Jakarta, April 26, 2012 – DKI Jakarta Provincial Administration today carried out the first step of the Preparation Works for MRT Jakarta Construction. During the launch of this work, DKI Jakarta Governor officially declared the commencement of preparations works, which include:
• Relocation of Lebak Bulus bus terminal
• Relocation of Lebak Bulus sports arena
• Relocation of utility networks
• Widening the road on Jl. Fatmawati
• Construction of the PT MRT Jakarta project office building
• and several other works

1. Jakarta, January 30, 2012 – As part of the MRT Jakarta project, the MRT Jakarta Committee for the Civil Construction Procurement carried out aanwijzing meeting with the civil contractors who have met the requirements in the prequalification process.
